The third annual edition of the Network Philanthropy Initiative was the biggest ever with 10 nonprofit organizations receiving a grant from the Alvin H. Baum Family Fund. This year’s grantees were:
- Little Village Environmental Justice Organization
- Sarah’s Inn
- Southsiders Organized for Unity and Liberation
- Community Education Network
- First Defense Legal Aid
- Chicago Freedom School
- Precious Blood Ministries
- Black Youth Project 100
- Midwest Books to Prisoners
- Save Money Save Life Foundation
The Fund thanks the following Baum Network members who nominated these outstanding agencies: Raul Aguilar, Antoinette Bolz, Wynn Coughlin, Mohena Kaur, Charles Murphy, Diane O’Connell, Michael Podgurski, Alexandria Santistevan, Madeline Rose Townsend, and Hannah Weinberger-Beder.
